Why do medications sold in pharmacies have such a weak effect?

A new episode of the Baku Aktual program was released on Baku TV, which discussed the cost and quality of medicines in Azerbaijan.
Why do high prices for medications persist in the country? How effective is the treatment prescribed by doctors? Why do some drugs available in pharmacies turn out to be ineffective? Does the composition of medicines supplied to the country change? What role do brand-name medications play?
These and other questions were answered by invited experts: Ministry of Health representative Chingiz Shukurov, MP Mushfig Mammadli, therapist Subkhan Hajiyev, and economist Khalid Kerimli.
