Traffic accident on a toll road: emergency workers rescued victims from a 12-meter ravine

Information was received on the 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan about a traffic accident on the section of the toll road Baku - Guba - state border with Russia, passing through the territory of the village of Gymylgyshlaq in Khachmaz district, and that citizens were in a helpless state.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the department, rescuers from the Northern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately arrived at the scene in connection with the incident.

During the assessment of the operational situation at the scene, it was established that the driver of a Mercedes car lost control, as a result of which the vehicle fell into a ravine on the side of the road.

Rescuers, using special equipment, extracted the injured driver Ilham Aleskerov (born 1969) and his passenger Bahruz Shirinov (born 1983) from the ravine about 12 meters deep and handed them over to the ambulance team.

An investigation is being conducted on this fact.
