USA will suspend the green card lottery

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristie Noem has ordered the temporary suspension of the DV1 (Diversity Immigrant Visa Program), better known as the "green card" program.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Reuters, the corresponding directive was sent to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

According to information posted on the official USCIS website, the DV program annually provided for the issuance of up to 50 thousand immigration visas to citizens of countries with low levels of immigration to the United States.
