Trump spoke about negotiations with Iran: Hormuz could open as early as tomorrow

US President Donald Trump stated that Washington and Tehran are discussing the possibility of opening the Strait of Hormuz as early as Tuesday, August 4.

As reported by Interfax, the American leader made this statement to journalists at the White House. "We are talking about opening the strait as early as tomorrow. A full opening," he said.

Trump emphasized that this should become the first phase of negotiations, and discussions about Iran's nuclear program would begin only after it. He also noted that later on Monday or Tuesday he would have a better understanding of whether the negotiations are yielding results.

The politician considers the current negotiations with Tehran to be Iran's last chance for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. "This is their last chance," the American leader stated.
