Trump on US steps after Iran's refusal to negotiate

The US will maintain the blockade of Iranian ports if Iran refuses negotiations.

In a conversation with the TV channel, the American president noted that Tehran had not informed him of its decision in advance. At the same time, he emphasized that Iran's refusal to negotiate does not mean a resumption of military action. "That doesn't mean we're going to go out and start dropping bombs everywhere," Trump said.

At the same time, according to him, the US military will continue the naval blockade of Iran.

Trump also expressed the opinion that the parties to the conflict should for now refrain from frequent comments about the negotiation process. "I think we've all been talking too much. It would probably be good to be quiet," the politician emphasized.

Earlier, the Iranian agency Tasnim reported that Iran had suspended negotiations with the US in protest against Israel's military actions in Lebanon. It was noted that Iran had repeatedly spoken about the need for a ceasefire in Lebanon, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, "and dialogue will not take place until the opinion of Iran and the resistance is satisfied."
