Trump named timeline for possible deal with Iran
US President Donald Trump stated that he plans to conclude a deal with Iran in March.
The head of the American administration shared this while speaking with journalists at the White House.
"Probably within the next month," he said in response to a relevant question.
At the same time, Trump predicted a "difficult" phase for Iran if the negotiations fall through.
"I will talk to the Iranians for as long as I need to. If we cannot reach a deal with them - we will move to the second phase. The second phase will be very difficult for them. I don't want that," the US President stated.
As a reminder, negotiations between Iran and the US took place on February 6 in Oman. Trump called them successful and announced that the dialogue would continue. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also gave a positive assessment of the negotiations.
