Trump made an unexpected statement about the conflict between Israel and Iran

US President Donald Trump unexpectedly stated that Israel and Iran may soon resume military confrontation, despite the current exhaustion of both sides after recent hostilities.

As reported by TASS, at a press conference in The Hague following the NATO summit, the American leader noted: "They are both tired, exhausted. They fought quite fiercely, very brutally, and both were satisfied to go home. Could it start again? I think it might someday. It might start again soon."

Notably, just a few minutes earlier, the head of the White House expressed the opposite opinion: "It was a 12-day war, and we think it's over. I don't think they're going to attack each other again. I don't think so."

Recall that Israel began a military operation against Iran on the night of June 13. Less than a day later, the Islamic republic carried out a retaliatory strike. The US entered the conflict on the ninth day after its escalation: on the night of June 22, American armed forces attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities. On the evening of June 23, Tehran launched a missile strike on Al Udeid, the largest US air base in the Middle East, located in Qatar. Later, Trump announced an agreement between Israel and Iran on a complete ceasefire.
