Scientists have discovered a drug capable of extending life

Scientists have established that a drug called "rapamycin" can increase lifespan in some animal species. During a large-scale study conducted in the UK, 167 experiments on 8 different species - from fish to monkeys - were analyzed.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to trt haber, according to the results, rapamycin can extend life as effectively as dietary restriction. Another drug called "metformin" showed a weaker effect in this regard.
"Rapamycin" was discovered in the 1970s on Easter Island. It is currently used in organ transplantation.
Studies have shown that this drug slows down the aging process, however, side effects are possible. For this reason, human trials with low doses are currently ongoing.
The scientists' goal is to achieve a longer and healthier life with fewer dietary restrictions.
