Trump: I'm getting calls from Iran asking to make a nuclear deal

US President Donald Trump made a bold statement that representatives of the Iranian authorities are contacting him directly, expressing a desire to reach an agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.
As NBC News reports, the American leader shared this information during a television broadcast.
"They missed an opportunity to make a deal. Now, perhaps, they will have another opportunity. We'll see," he noted.
When journalists asked why Trump believes that Iran would want to make a deal right now, after Israeli strikes, the president emphasized the fact of direct communications from the Islamic republic.
"They are calling me to talk [about making a deal]," Trump stated.
