US President Donald Trump announced that he agreed to cancel a planned massive strike on Iran.

As reported by BAKU.WS, he announced this on his social media platform Truth Social.

He explained that he made this decision in light of an emerging settlement deal with Tehran. "Iran and other Middle Eastern countries asked us to refrain from the attack, as the outlines of a deal had been agreed upon," the head of the White House wrote. He specified that the potential agreement would include the immediate and complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the elimination of the nuclear threat from the Islamic Republic.

The American leader emphasized that he agreed to cancel the strike on Iran on the condition that Washington would be able to "quickly conclude a deal." He also added that Israel "joins him in this endeavor."
