There was an outage in the operation of Facebook and Instagram

Users from Europe and the US are reporting outages in Meta's social media platforms, namely Facebook and Instagram.

This follows from data on the Downdetector website, which tracks outages and disruptions on popular internet platforms.

Problems with the social network began after 4:00 PM Baku time. The most outages are being reported by Facebook users in the United Kingdom — over 4,400, Italy — over 1,200, and the Netherlands — around 1,000. Outages are also being reported in the US, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Azerbaijan, and other countries.

Instagram users from the United Kingdom, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the US, and other countries have also complained about the platform's performance.

According to Downdetector, most users are complaining about the mobile app and website performance, login issues, news feed display problems, as well as server connection issues.
