The US Supreme Court allows Trump to deport half a million migrants

The US Supreme Court has made a resonant decision allowing President Donald Trump's administration to revoke the legal status of more than 500 thousand immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua. This status gave them the legal right to stay in the United States.
As TASS reports, the official order of the country's highest judicial authority states that the court granted the executive branch's petition to cancel the corresponding program previously launched by the administration of the 46th US President Joe Biden.
Notably, lower courts had previously blocked Washington's attempts to cancel the legal status granted to 532 thousand migrants from four Latin American countries. These courts argued their position by stating that the US Department of Homeland Security had not conducted the necessary analysis of each specific case. However, the new Supreme Court ruling does not affect the legal status of citizens from other countries, particularly Afghanistan and Ukraine.
The canceled program allowed migrants from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua to apply in advance for entry into the United States and receive work permits for a period of two years. The condition was having a sponsor residing in the United States. This initiative has repeatedly faced harsh criticism from Republicans.
