The actor from "Streets of Broken Lights" has died
St. Petersburg actor, Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Denisov, has died at the age of 81. The artist passed away on December 19, the cause of death has not been reported.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to MK.RU, Denisov's relatives published a farewell message on social media, in which they called him "beloved, dear and precious dad," noting his inexhaustible energy, charm, and ability to inspire others with every word and smile.
Nikolai Denisov was born in 1945. He graduated from the acting department of the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (under T.G. Soinikova). Over the years, he served at the Pskov Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin, the Leningrad Theater on Liteyny, the St. Petersburg State Theater "Benefis," and in 2021 he joined the Moscow Drama Company "Wandering Stars."
In addition to his acting career, Denisov was a poet and playwright. He wrote songs for Andrei Mironov, Valery Leontiev, Edita Piekha, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Mikhail Boyarsky, Larisa Dolina, and Maxim Averin.
His filmography includes movies and series such as "Broken Light," "Deadly Force 4," "Oncoming Lane," "Streets of Broken Lights 9," "Gluhar 3," "Sign of the True Path," "Ishcheyka 2" and others.
