Putin met with the head of Iran's Foreign Ministry

An important meeting took place in the Kremlin between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the talks, the Russian leader emphasized that unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis and cannot be justified.
"Russia is making efforts to provide assistance to the Iranian people," Putin stated during the conversation.
The Russian President also reported that he has already held telephone conversations with leaders of key countries in the region - the presidents of the United States, Iran, and the UAE, as well as the Prime Minister of Israel.
In turn, the head of the Iranian foreign ministry Abbas Araghchi expressed his country's position: "Tehran considers the actions of the US and Israel against Iran illegal, and the Iranian side has the right to self-defense. Escalation in the Middle East is intensifying every day due to US and Israeli aggression against Iranian nuclear facilities."
