Pezeshkian denied rumors of his possible resignation
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made a statement on state television, in which he commented on rumors that had been actively circulating in recent days about his alleged resignation from office.
As local media report, the head of state categorically denied such claims, emphasizing that he is not considering the possibility of leaving the presidential post.
"If a decision to resign is made, I will issue an official statement about it. I do not intend to resign and plan to continue fulfilling the duties entrusted to me," M. Pezeshkian stressed.
In addition, the Iranian leader drew attention to the fact that certain circles, by voicing positions that diverge from the course of the Supreme Leader, are seeking to sow division within the state.
M. Pezeshkian also emphasized that the government carries out its activities in full coordination with the Armed Forces and military structures of the Islamic Republic.
