Netanyahu: Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons as long as I lead the government
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that as long as he heads the government of the Jewish state, Iran will not have nuclear weapons.
"As long as I am the Prime Minister of Israel, Iran will not have nuclear weapons. President [US President Donald] Trump and I are in complete agreement on this matter," Netanyahu said.
The premier's remarks were released by his office. Netanyahu noted that he has been "at the forefront of the international fight against Iran's nuclear program for more than 30 years." In his opinion, "if not for this fight, Iran would have long had atomic bombs to destroy Israel."
"Iran is working to destroy the Jewish state, and I am dedicating my life to preventing this. As long as I am the Prime Minister of Israel, this will not happen," Netanyahu concluded.
