Natural disaster in the US: 138 million people in danger, 28 dead

The destructive natural disaster that hit the United States continues to claim human lives. According to the latest data from ABC News, the death toll has reached 28 people.
"A total of at least 28 deaths have been recorded from storm events across the country," reports the TV channel.
According to ABC News, more than half of the victims - 15 people - died directly due to tornadoes that swept through several states.
The natural disaster has covered a vast territory of the USA, including Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. About 138 million Americans are in the potential danger zone. Hurricane-force winds reach speeds of 80 miles per hour (about 130 km/h), creating a threat to infrastructure and residential buildings. Currently, the epicenter of the bad weather has shifted eastward.
The situation is especially severe in the Plains states, where raging winds have caused large-scale dust storms. These natural phenomena have caused the deaths of more than 10 people in Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
