Mirzoyev: The question of Turkey and Russia's participation in the TRIPP project was not discussed
The issue of Turkey and Russia's participation in the TRIPP project was not discussed.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Sputnik Armenia, this was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan during an online press conference in Washington.
According to him, a constructive dialogue has been maintained with Turkey for a long time, and there are reasons to expect tangible progress in the foreseeable future. The minister explained that the existing logistics involves a more comprehensive approach.
Mirzoyan emphasized that he considers Turkey's participation in the process of unblocking and regional development logical, but not within the framework of the TRIPP project itself. By similar logic, he said, Russia's participation in the project was not discussed either.
The minister emphasized that the unblocking of communications affects all neighbors: both the closest and more distant ones.
Earlier, the Armenian Foreign Ministry published a document defining the procedure for implementing the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project. The document was presented following a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, which took place the day before in Washington.
Recall that on August 8, 2025, following a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration on peaceful settlement between Baku and Yerevan and the creation of transport communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan. This project was named "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP).
