Media: U.S. Requested Intelligence from Europe on Targets in Iran
US requested intelligence information from European allies regarding potential targets in case of a strike on Iran.
This was reported by The Washington Post (WP).
According to its sources among European officials, representatives of US President Donald Trump's administration on January 12 "asked their countries to share intelligence about possible targets on Iranian territory." At present, "there are no indications that nuclear facilities will be targeted," WP quotes one source.
On January 13, a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) was held at the White House, chaired by US Vice President JD Vance, during which options for actions regarding Iran were prepared for Trump. The Axios portal previously reported that upon returning from Detroit (Michigan), the US President joined the NSC meeting.
