Marco Rubio stated that he has never communicated with the Iranian Foreign Minister

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he has never once been in contact with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The Secretary of State said this in an interview with Fox News.

"I have never spoken with the Foreign Minister of Iran. As I've said, and he has rarely communicated with our people. These are mostly indirect negotiations," Rubio noted.

According to him, over the past weeks there have been some direct contacts related to meetings that took place in Islamabad.

"But direct contacts with them are very rare, very confidential, and happen only through one or two people in their system," the Secretary of State added.
