Man received 90% body burns due to an electric scooter fire

In Abakan, a Russian man nearly burned alive completely due to an electric scooter that caught fire while charging, SHOT reports.

"The day before, 49-year-old Alexander, who lives in a house on Torosova Street, put his electric scooter on charge. At some point, the battery began to malfunction and caught fire. The fire area was 14 square meters," the publication says.

As a result, the owner received first, second, and third-degree burns. 90% of his body was burned. The man is currently in intensive care.
