Large-scale NATO exercises have started in the Mediterranean Sea
Large-scale exercises of the North Atlantic Alliance - Neptune Strike - have begun in the Mediterranean Sea.

The United States and nine NATO countries, including Great Britain, Greece, Poland, and Turkey, are participating in the maneuvers off the coast of Italy. It is specified that the main purpose of the exercises is to practice action scenarios in case of a hypothetical conflict with Russia.
During a conversation with journalists from the TV channel, American general Alexus Grinkevich, the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO's Joint Forces in Europe, stated that the alliance needs to be ready for simultaneous confrontation with Russia and China by 2027, noting that he does not consider such conflicts inevitable.
