In the USA, the appearance of a four-meter killer shark has been documented

Researchers documented the appearance of a four-meter male Atlantic white shark off the coast of the American city of Nantucket. This was reported by the MassLive portal.

This is the largest specimen of this species that the non-profit marine research organization OCEARCH has been able to find, the portal writes. Initially, this individual was discovered in January off the states of Florida and Georgia. The shark has been monitored all this time for study.

"The adult male shark, nicknamed Contender, reaches 4 meters 23 centimeters in length and weighs almost 750 kilograms," the article states.

The organization's researchers dubbed the shark "the greatest ocean warrior." The specimen received its name in honor of OCEARCH's partner - Contender Boats company.
