In Dagestan, they want to ban vaping
Dagestan may become one of the first regions in Russia to ban the sale of vapes as part of an experimental project. The head of the republic, Sergey Melikov, addressed the State Duma with such a proposal, according to the administration's press service on his Telegram channel.
"I request considering the possibility of including the Republic of Dagestan among the pilot regions for introducing a ban on the retail sale of these devices. I believe that such a measure will reduce the level of diseases associated with the use of vapes," Melikov's appeal states.
He also reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the initiative that provides regions with the right to restrict the sale of vapes.
