In Dagestan, 110 people were hospitalized after mass water poisoning
In Dagestan, specialists are investigating the causes of poisoning among residents of the Magaramkent district. 110 people sought medical assistance.
In the last 24 hours, 110 people sought hospital care with symptoms of nausea, vomiting, elevated body temperature, and diarrhea, of whom 18 were hospitalized. All of them have mild to moderate severity of illness, with no severe cases, - informed the Ministry of Health of Dagestan. The number of children among those hospitalized was not specified.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan has organized an inspection to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The department clarified that on July 7, local residents, including children, with signs of poisoning were brought to the Magaramkent Central District Hospital. Residents of the settlements of Magaramkent, Kuysun, Gilyar, Gaptsakh, and Verkhniy Tagirkent were affected by the intestinal infection.
