Footage of a strong earthquake in Dagestan has been published online
The Telegram channel Mash Gor published footage of the earthquake in Dagestan.
As BAKU.WS reports, the footage captures moments of underground tremors in the city of Dagestanskie Ogni.
According to Mash, at least a thousand residents of Makhachkala and other cities in Dagestan left their homes, fearing possible repeated underground tremors or building collapses. The seismic event was felt throughout the republic.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Dagestan stated that there were no casualties or destruction as a result of the earthquake in the region.
"No calls with complaints about destruction from the population have been received on the phones of emergency services. Social and cultural facilities are functioning normally," the department added.
