Epstein was added to the foreign agents registry in Russia
The Russian Ministry of Justice has added philosopher Mikhail Epstein and Soviet-American scholar Igor Efimov to the register of foreign agents.
This was reported on the ministry's website.
"I.R. Efimov participated in the dissemination to an unlimited number of persons of messages and materials of foreign agents and organizations included in the list of foreign and international organizations whose activities are deemed undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. <...> M.N. Epstein spread unreliable information about decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies," the statement says.
The register also included former head of the regional branch of "Open Russia" in Tyumen Anton Mikhalchuk, activists Andrey Agapov and Evgeny Malyugin, as well as the news outlet Cyprus Daily News.
