Denmark and Sweden sent aid to Ukraine for drone defense

Sweden and Denmark sent aid to Kyiv in the form of fishing nets, which Ukraine presumably uses to combat drones.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Finnish broadcasting company Yle.
According to the information, the total cost of the nets from Denmark alone amounted to about €2.5 million. Most of the nets were handed over as they were no longer needed by fishermen after Britain imposed restrictions on fishing in the North Sea.
The Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Post previously reported that fishing nets can be used for protection against drone attacks. Pre-stretched over trenches and entrances to dugouts, they can help slow down the fall of explosive devices dropped from drones, which may disrupt their detonation mechanism.
Note that since February 2022, Denmark's aid to Ukraine has amounted to about €8.5 billion in military support. The volume of aid to Kyiv from Sweden since February 2022 has amounted to almost €8 billion.
