An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred in Russia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred on Monday afternoon in the Pacific Ocean near the Northern Kuril Islands.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced to "Interfax" by the Sakhalin branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 was registered on Monday at 15:20 Sakhalin time (08:20 Baku time - ed.) with an epicenter 232 km southeast of Severo-Kurilsk, the focus was at a depth of 62 km below the seabed," said the agency's source.
According to him, in Severo-Kurilsk it was felt with a force of up to three to four points. No tsunami warning was issued.
