A telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TRT Haber, during the conversation, Erdogan noted that he is closely monitoring events in Iran. He stated that Turkey has never viewed favorably scenarios of external intervention in the internal affairs of the Islamic republic.
The Turkish leader emphasized that Ankara is interested in resolving these problems and preventing the escalation of tensions in the region.
The parties also discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran and issues on the regional agenda.
