WhatsApp has added a new feature

WhatsApp developers introduced an updated "Info" section, which has become more noticeable and user-friendly. Now it is located at the top of personal chats and user profiles and has received a redesigned interface.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to foreign media, the updated feature allows users to publish short messages and emojis to quickly let their contacts know about their status or availability. You can reply to such "Info" directly from the chat by clicking on the corresponding notification.

"In a world where everything changes every second, the 'Info' section can explain why you are currently unavailable or what you want to discuss: an emoji and a few words are enough," the developers note.

By default, the status is active for 24 hours, but users can change the display duration in settings - reduce or increase the time. Enhanced privacy settings have also been added: you can choose who will see the "Info" - only contacts or all users.

The rollout of the update will begin on mobile devices this week and will become available to all users.
