The strongest magnetic storm in two months has ended on Earth

The strongest magnetic storm in the last two months has ended on Earth. This was reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
It lasted more than 30 hours and at its peak reached a level of G2.0 - this is considered a moderate strength storm, however it became a record indicator since a similar event on June 13-14.
According to scientists, on the morning of August 10 Moscow time, the geomagnetic situation stabilized, and the indices have been in the "green zone" for about ten hours. At the same time, specialists noted that the Earth is still under the influence of coronal holes on the Sun, which is why the solar wind speed exceeds the norm by approximately 50%.
Experts warned that fluctuations in temperature and induction of the interplanetary magnetic field may persist until the middle of next week, which increases the probability of new geomagnetic disturbances.
