The doctor explained who should not eat beets
Beets are not recommended for people with urolithiasis and low blood pressure. These restrictions are related to the specific composition of the root vegetable and its effect on the body.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to RIA Novosti, this was stated by gastroenterologist of the Scandinavian Health Center Olga Chistik. According to her, beets contain oxalates that can stimulate the formation of kidney stones, and also help lower blood pressure, which is dangerous for people with hypotension.
The doctor also noted that beet consumption should be limited for people with gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, and allergic reactions.
Earlier, Russians were told about affordable and healthy products to replenish vitamins and microelements. Among them is seaweed, which is considered the absolute leader in iodine content: just 100 grams of the product covers the daily requirement of an adult. In addition, it contains magnesium, iron, potassium, vitamins A, E, K, and B vitamins.
The list of healthy budget products also included peas - not canned, but in the form of whole grain. Experts emphasize that it is a powerful source of plant protein and fiber.
