Scientists have discovered that vapes are three thousand times dirtier than toilets

A study by BioLabTests laboratory specialists has shown that electronic cigarettes contain three thousand times more bacteria than toilet seats.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Daily Mail, scientists noted that already by the third day of use, the number of fungi and bacteria in the device increases a thousand times. At the same time, the activity of microorganisms is observed not only in the mouthpiece but also in the body of the vape. The main reason for such rapid contamination is the special environment inside the device: the warm and humid mouthpiece creates ideal conditions for the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms.

According to researchers, resistant biofilms can form on the surfaces of vapes, which are difficult to remove by conventional cleaning methods. Most of the microorganisms found are commonly found on human skin and in the environment, so they become constant companions of smokers.

Scientists recommend regularly cleaning electronic cigarettes, applying hygiene measures similar to the care of smartphones, which are also carriers of a large number of microbes.
