New! "Glass" design for iPhone is available in WhatsApp

WhatsApp developers from Meta Platforms Inc. have begun limited testing of a new messenger design for iPhone users. This was reported by the WABetaInfo portal.

The updates have already appeared for some users of the application version 25.28.75, however, Meta itself (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) has not yet officially announced the redesign.

The main innovation is the bottom navigation panel in Liquid Glass style with a semi-transparent effect that harmonizes with the modern visual design of iOS.

According to WABetaInfo, the new interface is activated on the server side, so not all users with the current version of the application have received access to the changes. This indicates phased testing and selective feature rollout.

The redesign is expected to gradually become available to a wider audience in one of the upcoming updates, but the exact timeline for the full release is not yet specified.

A similar redesign in the style of iOS 26 is also planned for the Telegram messenger - a beta version of the application with an updated interface has already appeared online.
