Doctors named the main condition for getting benefits from walking
 
                            The impact of walking on the body is determined not only by the number of steps but also by the speed of movement.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by general practitioner Hussein Ahmad in an interview with HuffPost.
According to the specialist, for tangible benefits, it is necessary to walk for 30 minutes five times a week. However, a long walk may not give results if the pace is too slow. "Ideally, you should walk fast enough for your body to warm up and your breathing to become heavier, but you should still be able to continue a conversation," Ahmad explained.
He added that brisk walking reduces the risk of premature death by about 20 percent. The positive effect persists even when the walking time is reduced to 11 minutes.
