An unexpected way to improve sleep quality has been found
A hydrolyzed chicken protein supplement may positively affect the perception of sleep quality and overall well-being during the day.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is the conclusion reached by scientists, with the study results published in Frontiers in Nutrition.
The experiment involved 52 people who complained of poor sleep. Over the course of four weeks, one group took 670 mg of the supplement daily, while the other received a placebo. No significant difference in the overall sleep index was found; however, participants in the main group reported a noticeable subjective improvement in sleep.
They also experienced a slight increase in alertness and daytime productivity, although this effect did not reach statistical significance. The researchers attribute the potential action of the supplement to bioactive peptides that affect the nervous system and recovery processes.
