Renowned coach Mircea Lucescu has passed away
One of the most decorated coaches in football history, Romanian Mircea Lucescu, has died at the age of 80.
This was reported by journalist Emanuel Roșu on his page on the social network X.
It was previously reported that Lucescu was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness during a training session at the end of March. As the newspaper ProSport noted, the specialist's condition had deteriorated at the end of 2025, as a cold had aggravated a heart problem. At the end of January, he was also rushed to the hospital.
