Islam Makhachev against Dan Della Maddalena: when will the title fight take place?
The name of the next opponent for Russian mixed martial arts fighter, former UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, has been revealed. According to the UFC press service, he will have a welterweight title fight against Australian Jack Della Maddalena.
The fight between Makhachev and Della Maddalena is scheduled for November 16, 2025, and will take place in New York (USA) as part of UFC 322 tournament.
Recall that earlier Islam Makhachev voluntarily gave up the lightweight championship belt, deciding to move up to another weight category. His last fight was in January 2025, when he won by submission against Brazilian Renato Moicano in a lightweight title bout.
