III CIS Countries Games: today competitions will be held in seven sports

Today, competitions in seven sports will be held at the III CIS Games.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, swimming competitions will continue at the Ganja Sports Palace.
In Ganja, which is also the capital of the III CIS Games, qualification stage matches of the volleyball tournament will take place. The Azerbaijan U-15 (women) national team will meet Kyrgyzstan.
In Sheki, the next qualification stage matches of chovgan competitions will be held. The Azerbaijan national team, playing in group A, will meet Kuwait.
In addition, qualification and final meetings in clay target shooting will be organized at the Gabala Shooting Club. Here, athletes will also begin competing in mixed team badminton competitions.
In Yevlakh, qualification stage boxing matches will take place, and in Mingachevir, the winners of taekwondo competitions will be determined.
It should be noted that the III CIS Games will conclude on October 8. The competitions involve 1,624 athletes and 2,337 representatives from 13 countries. Azerbaijan is represented by 340 athletes, Pakistan - 4, Russia - 262, Uzbekistan - 254, Belarus - 240, Kazakhstan - 147, Tajikistan - 144, Kyrgyzstan - 126, Turkmenistan - 48, Turkey - 38, Cuba - 11, Kuwait - 6, and Oman - 4 athletes.
To date, Russia leads the medal count (34 gold, 8 silver, 7 bronze medals), followed by Azerbaijan (5 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze medals), with Belarus completing the top three (4 gold, 13 silver, 15 bronze).
