Gurban Gurbanov made an unexpected decision

Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov has made a shocking decision.

As reported by Sportinfo, he has suspended Jonathan Montiel from the first team.

The experienced manager has suspended the Spanish midfielder from the camp indefinitely. The reason was a disciplinary violation by the Iberian legionnaire.

The absence of Montiel's name from the squad list for the Europa League first qualifying round matches against Vestri (Iceland) is due to this very incident.

The final list submitted to UEFA includes 24 players.

Four of them - Teymur Hasanov, Bilal Hajiyev, Hikmet Jabrailzade, and Ali Bashirov - are the club's own academy graduates and are included in List B. This is a mandatory UEFA requirement for every club participating in European cup competitions.
