FC "Karabakh" is close to transferring a Nigerian forward
Nigerian forward Salim Fago Lawal is close to transferring to Azerbaijani club "Qarabag".
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Daily Post, Croatian club "NK Istra 1961," for which the footballer plays, will receive about two million euros for the transfer. The deal is expected to be completed in the next few days.
In the current season, the 23-year-old Lawal has played 19 matches in all tournaments for "NK Istra," scoring five goals and providing two assists.
The striker was also part of the Nigerian national team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he participated in one match. Additionally, he has played once for Nigeria's youth national team (U-20).
