Coaches of Amina Aliyeva, granddaughter of President Ilham Aliyev, who worthily represented our country and won a gold medal at the Kung Fu World Championship in the Italian city of Perugia, told Baku TV about her path to victory.

First Vice President of the Azerbaijan Kung Fu Federation Babek Aliyev shared details of how Amina Aliyeva made the decision to participate in the tournament.

"After she shared with me her desire to compete in competitions, it was decided that she would take part in the republic championship. But Amina replied: 'There they will recognize me and deliberately lose. I don't want to participate in such competitions.' We continued our training. I even forbade them to drink water during sessions. And in the end, we saw the result: Amina, participating in the world championship for the first time, became the winner," noted B.Aliyev.

President of the Azerbaijan Kung Fu Federation Nurlan Aslanov also spoke about how persistently Amina Aliyeva prepared for the championship.

"Amina trained continuously for more than a year under the supervision of Babek Aliyev. When we started putting her against the strongest young men in her weight category, I realized: if she can handle the nervousness, there would be no one equal to her in competitions in her age group," emphasized N.Aslanov.
