When will the escalators of Baku underground passages be repaired?

Baku residents outraged by long-term inoperability of escalators in underground passages

City residents are expressing dissatisfaction due to the fact that escalators in underground passages throughout the city have remained inoperable for an extended period. The problem is particularly acute in the area of Winter Park in the Nasimi district, where pedestrian traffic is especially heavy.

According to local residents, the situation particularly complicates movement for elderly people, people with disabilities, and parents with baby strollers. Broken escalators create serious obstacles for these population groups.

A representative of the State Agency for Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan, Anar Najafli, commented on the situation, noting that the necessary spare parts have already been ordered from abroad. However, their delivery takes time. He assured that as soon as the parts arrive, repairs will be carried out promptly, and the escalators will resume operation.
