Weather in Azerbaijan will deteriorate, heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail expected

Starting from April 13, rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected in some regions of Azerbaijan, with snow in mountainous areas. From April 15, weather conditions will worsen, and precipitation will become more intense.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a warning issued by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

It is noted that due to precipitation, water levels in rivers are expected to rise, and there is a possibility of short-term floods and mudflows in some mountain rivers. The risk of floods and mudflows is higher in some rivers flowing through the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Lankaran-Astara zone.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, variable precipitation is expected on the night of April 14-15, with heavy rain in some places. On April 16, there is a possibility of more intense precipitation.
