Here's the English translation: **State Program for Improving Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Adjacent Territories for 2025-2030 Has Been Approved** As Baku.ws reports, the state program includes plans for constructing new roads in the capital, restoring four railway lines in the city and suburban areas, and implementing other important projects. Transport expert Rauf Agamirzayev told Baku.ws about the key elements of the new program. According to him, special attention is being paid to the construction of ring roads. One of the significant projects is the Bilgah-Novkhany-Khirdalan road: "This project was initiated back in 2007. By 2014, the road from Koroglu circle to the airport and further to Mardakan, Buzovna, Bilgah, and Kurdakhany was built. Now the project has resumed after a period of slow construction. The road will be connected to the M-1 highway towards Sumgayit and the M-4 highway leading to Shamakhi through Khirdalan city. The new road will help redistribute traffic flow from the airport area and significantly reduce the load on Ziya Bunyadov Avenue. Although Ziya Bunyadov Avenue is an inner-city road, it is often used by transit transport, creating a critical situation. Therefore, the construction of two semi-ring roads in the direction of "Baksol" and above is planned, which will ensure quick movement without entering the city and directly affect inner-city mobility and traffic density." In modern cities, "Park and Ride" systems are organized at entry points. "You arrive by car towards the city and park your car at certain points, continuing your journey by public transport - metro, bus, suburban train, or, depending on location, using micro-mobility or walking," explains the expert. This directly affects city street congestion and traffic jams. The main question is how we organize our trip and how long it takes to reach a certain place. One of the key points is creating appropriate conditions. It's important to develop pedestrian infrastructure so people can make their own decisions about how to travel. There should be more options: walking, micro-mobility, bus, tram, metro. The construction of new metro stations, improvement of suburban train networks, and laying new tram lines will ultimately lead to changes in the current situation. It's also important to restore railway connections in suburban settlements where railways historically existed. It's impossible to ensure mobility only with buses and private transport on one road, as a large number of private vehicles will again lead to traffic jams. Therefore, restoring railway connections is an extremely important step. Orkhan Huseyn
