Traffic gridlock on Neftyanikov Avenue: what's happening?
Baku TV has released a new report in the "Necə olmalıdır?" (How should it be?) section about a problematic situation on Neftchilar Avenue that is causing concern among drivers.
The core issue is the absence of sign 5.9 on the bus lane heading towards November 8 Avenue. The lane itself exists, allowing drivers to use it during peak hours.
It's important to note that without the corresponding road sign, the road markings lose their legal force.
On the section from Neftchilar Avenue towards Yusif Safarov Street, sign 5.9, which designates the public transport lane, is installed 20 meters after the beginning of the lane itself. This means that drivers can enter the lane within these 20 meters, but exiting from it is prohibited.
Experts note that it would be more rational to start the dedicated lane a bit further down.
