Road chaos in Yasamal district: residents demand a solution to the problem

The excavated road in the area called "2nd Alatava" in the Yasamal district of Baku has caused serious discontent among both drivers and local residents.
As a result of earthworks, which have been ongoing for several months, the road has narrowed so much that practically only one car can pass through. According to citizens, they cannot determine which department is responsible for solving this problem.
"After many years, they finally established a park. But we cannot take our children there because there are no sidewalks and people are forced to walk right on the roadway. The earthworks have put us in a terrible situation, houses are covered with a layer of dust," complains one of the local residents.
The Executive Authority of Baku city stated that the department did not give any permission for the specified works.
"However, during the inspection, it was established that the works are being carried out on the basis of technical conditions issued by JSC 'Azerishig', and the route determined by the territorial construction and planning center of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture. To expedite these works, the area has been taken under control," noted the Executive Authority.
