Minus 15 years: unexpected breakfast for longevity named

Breakfast can both prolong life and accelerate aging - believes Dr. Eric Verdin, CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. According to him, thanks to changes in diet and lifestyle, he managed to "rewind" his biological age by almost 15 years.
In an interview with Business Insider, Verdin revealed the main secret of his morning diet. He calls cereal with orange juice the "worst" breakfast - "it's basically a bowl of sugar," - the expert emphasizes. Instead, the scientist opts for savory dishes.
"No pastries, orange juice, or sweet yogurts," - he warns.
Dr. Verdin follows the Mediterranean diet - focusing on fresh vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and lean proteins, while completely excluding ultra-processed foods.
Epigenetic blood tests, according to him, confirmed that his biological age is significantly younger than his chronological age.
"Diet is the key to longevity," - concluded Verdin.
