Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan warns about new bank card theft schemes

Cases of money theft from citizens' bank cards continue.
BAKU.WS was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the CVV/CVC code on the card, the OTP code sent via SMS, logins and passwords for accessing your systems, as well as the card's PIN code are confidential information:
"If this data falls into the hands of unknown persons, they will be able to steal money from your account or, in the absence of funds, cause you damage in the form of a loan. On May 8, through various cyber methods, money in the amount of 5000, 1010, 1000, 880, 849, 744, 660, 600, 200, 160, 125, 73, 50, 42 manats was stolen from the bank cards of individual citizens.
We once again recommend citizens to be careful about tempting offers of profit, insurance, visa issues, strengthening bank accounts and payments for income coming from suspicious calls. Absolutely do not share personal banking data with unknown persons, it is dangerous".
